The Faculty of Economics basically manages the educational branch of economics and also participates in teaching the bachelor majors of the business administration branch. The aid of the economics branch is to educate top- and middle-level business executives and to provide knowledge that enables students to manage larger economic units moreover to recognize and to adopt to the short-, medium- and long-term processes of economic policy.

In the centre of education and research there is the conviction that managing units of different levels (corporate, regional, national, global) is a science. Its scientific character is reflected in the fact that it is able to convey a system of values serving as a basis for the global order towards the economic policy.

The Faculty trains experts who can harmonize the professional and moral requirements with scientific rigour. Therefore it accepts students who are responsive to theoric relationships, apprehend the basic issues behind the problems and have a zest for fulfilling a managerial position.
