SME Innovation Management Transcarpathia

The training course on “Innovation management and funding opportunities for SMEs in Transcarpathia” was organised by the CUB Innovation Centre Public Benefit Ltd. and supported by the Hungarian National Ministry for Development and Economy.

Background of the Action

A lack of information about available financial resources and sponsoring organisations is a big loss of revenue for entrepreneurs in Ukraine. The training program was designed to increase competitiveness, provide useful knowledge, make the most use of patents and strengthen entrepreneurship.

Content of the Project

The project was implemented in a learning centre with four classrooms in Beregovo, Ukraine. The training was organised on six weekends from 1 April 2009 – 30 June 2009. It provided a free 36-hour theoretical and 8-hour practical training focusing on innovating thinking, how to undertake and lead an enterprise, marketing, e-business, proposal writing and patent licensing.

The training was interactive with an opportunity for personal consultations. The participants received a multimedia CD which provided the opportunity for self-study and added a multiplying effect to the training course, as the CD contains all presentations, notes, examples, concepts and audio and video materials. The participants received a certificate at the end of the training.

SME Innovation Management Vojvodina

The training course on “Innovation management and funding opportunities for SMEs in Vojvodina” was organised by the CUB Innovation Centre Public Benefit Ltd. and supported by the Hungarian National Ministry for Development and Economy.

Background of the Action

It targeted major problems on the labour market of the Vojvodina region, such as a high unemployment rate of women, young graduates and skilled workers. There is a lack of information on available financial resources and on sponsoring organisations that enable starting or expanding business activities. The training program was designed to increase competitiveness, provide useful knowledge to the target group and strengthen entrepreneurship.

Content of the project

The training course was primarily aimed at spin-off enterprises and potential entrepreneurs and concentrated on presenting the legal environment and economic significance of innovation; developing business skills; knowledge sharing and collecting best practices. Participation was for free. The training was delivered interactively with an opportunity for personal consultations. The participants received a multimedia CD which provided the opportunity for self-study and added a multiplying effect to the training course, as the CD contains all presentations, notes, examples, concepts and audio and video materials. The participants received a certificate after completing the training course.

Main subject areas of the training were the following: innovative thinking; how to undertake and lead an enterprise; marketing; e-business; proposal writing; patent licensing; globalization and localization; corporate social responsibility.
