Preparatory programmes

English and Mathematics

Target group:
People who are interested in applying for BA programmes in economics and business studies.

  • English language course (4 classes per day per week) for students whose English knowledge is poor
  • Preparatory programme in English and Mathematics

The preparatory year programme requires regular attendance by the students for all classes as the results obtained at the quizzes and exams written during the year will determine whether or not a given student can gain direct admission to the Bachelor programmes of the Faculty of Business Administration.

Intensive English Language Course

3 WEEKS from 12 August to 30 August 2013

The 104−class intensive English Language Preparatory Course of Corvinus University of Budapest is offered to those students who are starting their studies in English language academic programs in September 2013. The objective of the course is to develop the communicative competencies of the participants in oral and written General English as well as ESP in order to facilitate their adjustment to the high performance requirements expected by the study programs at Corvinus University. The Program provides English for Academic Purposes and ESP adjusted to study programs selected by the participants, as well as other supplementary services, like comfortable stay at the university dormitory, tutoring, mentoring and individual counseling. We ensure a culturally and socially beneficial study period in Hungary.

Detailed description of the programme

Intensive Hungarian Language Course

BASIC PROGRAM: 9 months from 15 October, 2013 to 15 July, 2014 - for those who completed a 2-month intensive Hungarian language course provided by an organizing local agency in the home country. Agencies interested in joining the program, please contact us.

EXTENDED PROGRAM: 2 months intensive Hungarian summer course from 15 August to 15 October, 2013 & 9 months from 15 October, 2013 to 15 July, 2014 - for complete beginners in Hungarian language.

The complex Preparatory Program of Corvinus University of Budapest (PPCUB) prepares participants, future students of Corvinus University for admission and high performance expected in academic programs offered by the University. PPCUB covers Hungarian and English language training, specialized professional preparation according to the selected university program, as well as other supplementary services, like comfortable stay at the university dormitory, tutoring, mentoring and counselling. We ensure a culturally and socially beneficial study period in Hungary. The program is tailored to the specific needs of the participants in the group.
