About the Conference
The Corvinus University of Budapest (CUB) is staging an EU funded project in five research areas. As a significant event in the project an international conference is being organised with the aim to exchange new scientific results among the participants. The topical issues of the conference correspond with the main research fields of the project.
Well-known key note speakers from different fields of the economy, political decision makers and scholars from the EU and China will be invited. In the second part of the conference submitted and accepted papers will be presented in five sections in topical issues.
If you – as a professor, researcher, expert or PhD student – are engaged in one of the listed topics below, please don't hesitate to submit an abstract in order to ensure your participation as a lecturer in the sections.
Date, Venue, and Fees
The conference will take place at Corvinus University of Budapest, Hungary, on 10-11 November, 2011.
Participation at the conference is free of charge and financed by the above mentioned project. It requires confirmed registration. The registration form will be available later.
Travel and accommodation arrangements should be made and financed by the participants individually.

Abstract submission and deadlines
Abstracts must be sent to the organisers by July 15, 2011. To submit the abstract, please use the abstract template that can be downloaded here.
The author should clearly mark the name of the section (I. – V.) to which his/her abstract refers to. The maximum length of the abstracts should be 500 words and they should contain a brief description of the main thesis of the paper/presentation, the methodology and results of the research/other activities undertaken.
Submissions will be evaluated on their relevance to conference themes, clarity of thought, documented results and how well they fit into the conference program and other criteria.
Authors of accepted abstracts will be notified by 30 July. The acceptance letter will provide detailed information of the conference and the proceedings.
The best papers will be published in the English Journal “Society and Economy” and the Hungarian Journal “Köz-gazdaság”.
Each section programme consists of oral presentations (15 minutes) and a final round table discussion with the participation of the presenters, experts and the audience.
