The Regional Centre for Energy Policy Research was founded in 2004. The Research Centre is an institute of the Corvinus University of Budapest. The three main pillars of our work are training programs, research and consulting.
Since 2009, the core of our training programmes is the Energy Market Economist specialist postgraduate programme.
Our research focuses on electricity and gas market regulation. Since 2007 a water economics unit is operating in the Research Centre, and from 2017 we started working on transport issues as well.We provide consulting services to Hungarian and foreign companies, regulators, state actors and European institutions.
