Students score 8 percentage points higher when grades were framed as losses

If test-takers start with the maximum score and lose points for mistakes, they perform 8 percentage points better than when they traditionally start from zero and earn points for correct answers. A simple change in feedback can produce a sizable and boost in university performance, finds new research from Corvinus University of Budapest.
