Corvinus students are renowned for their success in case competitions. We are proud that our outstanding students carry the University's reputation around the world and have won numerous prizes in the world's most prestigious case solving competitions. Three undergraduate students from Corvinus University of Budapest represented the university at the April 16–19 finals of the Modul Business Championship 2026 in Vienna, after successfully qualifying through the online round earlier this year.
On 16th April, the Hungarian finals of this year’s 10th anniversary Danube Cup international startup competition were held at the Gellért Campus of Corvinus University of Budapest.
Four undergraduate students from Corvinus University of Budapest Andrei Krajuhin, Desislava Dostinova, Gergely Ganyecz, and Kseniia Pyzhova travelled to Lausanne, Switzerland, to compete at the first in-person edition of the International Olympic Case Study Competition (IOCSC), where they faced a completely new challenge: sport management; and came home as champions.
Our students achieved outstanding success at the Hungarian final of the CFA Institute Research Challenge, with both first, second and fourth place claimed by Corvinus teams.
Our undergraduate students participated in a prestigious international case-solving competition in Sydney, winning the six-hour final round.
Our university competed against some of the most prestigious case-solving teams on the international stage at the HKUST International Case Competition in Hong Kong.
The Antal Ács Case Study Competition organised by the University of Debrecen was won by the Corvinus team again.
The students of the Corvinus University of Budapest attending the Organisations and Management Master Programme won first place at the EMI Cornell Case Competition at Cornell University in New York. Adél Hadházy, Luca Horváth, Tamás Józsa and Gergely Keményfi told us about this success and the exciting road leading to it.
The ConSIMium is a simulation event organized by the General Secretariat of the Council of the European Union, where each EU member state participates with a six-member delegation. The event takes place in the actual decision-making chambers of the Council, allowing participants to experience EU negotiations firsthand.
Our students demonstrated their exceptional skills and teamwork at the ROCA international case competition in Rotterdam, where they solved six-hour business cases.
The Agrovirtus, the university agricultural case study competition, was held for the 6th time this year.
Dávid Nagyvári won the Hungarian round of the Red Bull Basement competition with his invention of an online interface for a personalised capsule wardrobe. The competition will soon take him to Tokyo.
Not only are our students successful in case competitions, we are also proud that they are regularly well-performed in sports and academic competitions.
Students from Corvinus University of Budapest took part for the first time in one of the world’s largest university sporting events, achieving a notable result on their debut.
Our student, Laura Kozma, and the women’s épée team won a silver medal at their first Junior World Championships.
The team of Corvinus Students were named the most innovative in the active tourism category of the CheckINN Tourism Innovation Competition.
The one-week programme in Budapest brought together 50 young people from Germany and Hungary, including five students from the Corvinus DSG. Throughout the week, participants worked on proposals related to several current issues, which they presented at the end of the week in the Upper Chamber of the Parliament.
The third place went to Balázs Bosits, a student of Corvinus University of Budapest.
For the seventh time, the Central Statistical Office and the Hungarian National Bank organised a joint national competition.
One of the topics of this year’s competition was the redevelopment of the Rákos Rendezvous and the other was the use of an existing building and the creation of a panda habitat at the Zoo.
Bálint Balázs, a student of Corvinus University of Budapest, won his weight category in the 81 kg weight class and took first place.
