Students from any Hungarian university could apply in teams of 3-4 students. During the five-week online qualification, students had to solve agricultural problems in the Agrovirtus system. From 27-29 November, the best 11 teams were invited to participate in the Agrovirtus Academy, which was held at the Széchenyi István University in Győr. The first two days were spent in intensive preparation, where the teams participated in professional workshops alongside mentoring. The top 5 teams from the semi-finals qualified for the final, which included 4 teams of students from Corvinus University of Budapest!
V. helyezett: AgroGenZ (Gergő Papp, Lázár Csorba, Zoltán Cseke and Gábor Nagy)
III. helyezett: Hay Crew (Rebeka Rácz, Laura Berencsi, Annamária Hoffmann and Bence Tóth)
II. helyezett: Csákó gyümölcsei (Kíra Balogh Melani, Ermal Gjibegji, Márk Friedrich and András Csákó)
I. helyezett: Magyar UgarON (Lilla Németh-Eke, Zalán Őszi, Előd Surjányi and Eliora Mihály – the latter a student of MATE)
Their plan was to install thermal cameras using artificial intelligence in the pig farms of Bold Agro Ltd. to make the pig sector of the farm even more successful. The main prize was a field trip to Azerbaijan (Baku), but several special prizes were also awarded.
The above-mentioned Corvinus contestants are all students of the Bachelor of Business and Management in Budapest and of the Agribusiness Specialisation in Belgrade. Their teacher is József Áron Borda.
