LibCafé – small group consultation

Small group/individual consultation sessions in the following topics:

  •     Research infrastructure at CUB: subscriptions, literature acqusition, available financial databases and databanks (Kőrösi Krisztina, Fischer Mónika, Bavalics István)
  •     Author identifiers, ensuring visibility (Demecs Éva, Lőrinczi Erzsébet)
  •     Text similarity checker of scholarly articles (Horváth Alexandra)
  •     Book publishing services at CUB, document identifiers (Székely Krisztina)
  •     Scientometrics, metrics of university performance assessment (Hoffmann Ádám)
  •     Open access in practice (Hoffmann Ádám)
  •     Research data management (Kurucz Erika)
  •     Artificial intelligence at CUB: applications, ethical aspects (Dabis Attila)
  •     Reference manager softwares (Kőrösi Krisztina)

Venue: Lecture room (Aquarium) in the Library

The consultation sessions take place in the Research Week.

Time: 11 June, 2024: 10 a.m. – 1.45 p.m. and 12 June, 2024: 1 p.m. – 3.45 p.m.

Training sessions integrated into university courses

The sessions aim at improving searching skills, informing students about printed and electronic materials, academic, statistical and business databases available at CUB. Besides library offered documents we give information about reliable scholarly OA-sources. This session supports conscious and ethical use of scholarly sources, teach students to use references properly, offer reference manager softwares.

Duration: 30-45 minutes. More training sessions are selectable using the same form.

MTMT consultation

Authors receive help to record their scholarly publications in MTMT, to avoid difficulties in publication processes. During the consultations patrons will be informed about different metrics, journal rankings, authentic Open Access-journals.
