All individuals above 18 years with a certified Hungarian address may register to the Library (justification of address may happen with an address card, or a lodging or dormitory contract in the applicants’ name.) Registration takes place exclusively in person by filling in and signing the Registration statement. University students whose library registration is a part of their registration to the university, form an exception. Registration possibilities:
- A Day ticket provides access to the Library’s collection and services on location. (Personal identification and presenting an address card is necessary.)
- A Loan ticket entitles visitors to borrow publications and use the full-scope services of the Library.
Documents required to obtain a loan ticket are the following:

* the EU member states, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland
** A first-loss guarantor can be a Hungarian citizen above 18 years of age who has a regular income, and whose employer will issue a relevant income certificate.
