The Project
The topical issues of the conference correspond with the main research fields of the project of the Corvinus University, Budapest.
The establishment of five interdisciplinary centres of excellence of the Corvinus University, Budapest has been carried out in the framework of the project that is financed by the European Union and the Hungarian State and co-financed by the European Social Fund.

Due to the size and aims of the project in the next couple of years it will have a basic effect on the operations of the university.
During the implementation of the project, the University is planning to involve 280 teachers and researchers and more than 160 PhD students. The research work will considerably increase the number of publications, involve talented students in research, increase the number of academic and doctoral schools, lead to the direct appereance of research results in education and build relationship with fellow universities and the business sector.
The opening event of the project was an international conference held in November, 2010., with the title „The role of Research, Development and Innovation during the recovery from the recent recession”.
