At the Annual Alumni Reunion on 12 June, Corvinus University of Budapest will recognise its alumni for outstanding achievements for the first time this year. With the Alumni of the Year Award, the University will honour former students who have given back to their alma mater community through outstanding professional and/or social impact. Former students can be nominated for the award until 27 May 2025, by all university citizen with an email address at uni-corvinus.hu and stud.uni-corvinus.hu.

You can apply for short-term study mobility through the Pannonia Scholarship Program for undergraduate and master’s students.

Supplementary applications are open for short-term mobility at the undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels, depending on the availability of spots and funding, for the spring semester of the 2025-2026 academic year.

A team of three undergraduate students from Corvinus University secured first place at the MBC Case Competition in Vienna held in April, following a strong performance grounded in thorough preparation and strategic thinking.

Simon Spangenberg has been working in the automotive industry for nearly 20 years. He applied for Corvinus’s Executive MBA Program when he was advancing in his career and intended to improve his leadership skills.

The Routledge Handbook of Degrowth, which covers the practice, history, and future of degrowth, will be published in June. A book of 35 chapters with 55 co-authors, it was presented in a book launch and roundtable discussion at Corvinus University of Budapest on May 5, with two editors and one author of the volume.

The latest EVK Business Nights event organised by the EVK College delivered an exciting insight into the world of Silicon Valley startups. Through a presentation by Jared Schrieber, an experienced entrepreneur and founder of Numerator (formerly Infoscout), students learned the secrets behind a successful startup launch. Moderated by Stanley Allen Ward, the talk was an honest and inspiring journey showcasing entrepreneurship's roller coaster ride, from the highs to the lows. Alex Hugert’s report from the event.

In keeping with its traditions, this May, the Hungarian Academy of Sciences once again presented prestigious scientific awards at its annual general assembly. Among the recipients of the Academy Award was sociologist Attila Melegh, Full Professor at Corvinus University of Budapest.

The latest competitiveness research from Corvinus University reveals a stark contrast between Hungary's competitive and less competitive domestic companies. Aamir Khan originally came to Europe to study banking, but his experience at Corvinus changed the way he saw the world. Upon returning to India, he began working for the Minister of Education for the State of Maharashtra. His projects include improving menstrual wellness for underprivileged girls and setting up school libraries in government schools. At Corvinus, he learned how to lead, take ownership, and find creative solutions.
