Corvinus Green Podcast receives international recognition

The Corvinus Green Podcast project, in which students created a podcast series exploring real-world sustainability challenges, received a Disciplinary Honorable Mention in the Communications and Media Studies category among this year’s education awardees of the Principles for Responsible Management Education. PRME, an initiative of the UN Global Compact, recognises educators and institutional initiatives at business and management schools worldwide that make an outstanding contribution to embedding sustainability and responsible management into education.
The results of the 2026 call were announced at the end of June, with Corvinus being the only Hungarian initiative recognised. The award-winning project was created by Zsófia Nemes, Assistant Professor at the Institute of Sustainable Development, Katalin Ásványi, Dean for Sustainability, Réka Matolay, Head of the Science Shop, Márta Frigyik, Science Shop Manager, and Monika Fischer, Director General of the University Library and Archives, all colleagues of Corvinus.
The 2026 awards received 43 submissions from 22 countries. The PRME jury selected four winners, eight runners-up, one Honourable Mention for Outstanding Creativity and 11 Disciplinary Honorable Mentions. Submissions were assessed, among other criteria, on educational quality, relevance across different contexts, demonstrated impact and contribution to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The awardees include business and management school faculty from Australia, Austria, Canada, Egypt, Hungary, India, Ireland, Mexico, Nigeria, Portugal, Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland, Tunisia, the United States, the United Kingdom and Vietnam.
Corvinus’s recognition shows that the university’s educational innovations are also internationally visible in the fields of sustainability and responsible mindset development. The awardees were recognised in person at the 2026 PRME Global Forum and presented as good practice to the international PRME community
In January this year, Corvinus was awarded PRME Champion status, and the university was also recognised by PRME in 2024. At that time, representatives of the Hungarian institution received an award in the Marketing category for a course that used an innovative teaching method to support sustainable development. Corvinus University hosted the annual meeting of the PRME network in 2024, where Dr Katalin Ásványi was elected Head of the Central and Eastern Europe Chapter.
