Corvinus Center for Operations Research (CCOR)

The Corvinus Center for Operations Research (CCOR), founded in September 2020, operates as a key research unit within the Corvinus Institute for Advanced Studies at Corvinus University of Budapest. The mission of CCOR is to advance the application of scientific, quantitative methodologies to address complex decision-making problems through rigorous theoretical and applied research in the field of operations research. The center envisions becoming a leading hub for academic excellence and innovation in quantitative decision sciences, contributing to both scholarly knowledge and practical problem-solving. Its overarching goal is to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and to develop models and solutions that support data-driven decision-making in a variety of organizational and policy contexts.

CCOR’s current research activities concentrate on four core areas within operations research: Decision Theory, Game Theory, Modelling, and Optimization. These domains reflect the center’s commitment to addressing both foundational and contemporary challenges in the discipline. In addition to their research contributions, CCOR members actively engage in the academic community by teaching and supervising graduate students at Corvinus University of Budapest. Through this dual focus on research and education, CCOR aims to cultivate a new generation of scholars and practitioners equipped with the skills necessary for high-impact analytical work.
