Business Ethics Center

Established in 1993 and operating as an autonomous organizational unit of the university since 2002, the Business Ethics Center is committed to advancing the theory and practice of business ethics across academia, higher education, and the business community. The Center’s mission is to promote ethical principles, models, and methodologies that contribute to responsible decision-making and value-driven organizational behavior. Its vision is to foster a culture of ethical awareness and accountability in economic life by integrating moral considerations into education, research, and corporate practices. The Center aims to serve as a hub for critical dialogue, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the development of ethical competencies among future leaders and scholars.

The Center operates on the foundational belief that ethics is integral to all levels of economic activity – from individual behavior to organizational governance, and from national economies to global systems. Addressing today’s complex economic and societal challenges requires a transdisciplinary approach, drawing on economics, management, psychology, ecology, and moral philosophy. Accordingly, the Center engages in business ethics as a form of critical-analytical and action-oriented inquiry that seeks to bridge theory and practice.
