Contrary to its usual practice, the Senate met in two venues: after the pre-defined items on the agenda, the meeting continued in the auditorium on the ground floor, due to the wide interest in the last item. According to the preliminary agenda, the Senate adopted the new regulations on admission to master programmes and on Study Abroad, and made a decision on the awarding of a Professor Emeritus title. Outside the agenda, the Senate discussed the issue ‘Lessons and conclusions for the Senate from ethics and irregularity procedures conducted during the year’.

A half-day hiking trip in the Pils Biosphere Reserve is worth HUF 2 900, a full-day excursion HUF 5 000 for hikers, according to a study by the Corvinus University of Budapest, which analyses data from 2020. The area offers a value of around HUF 4 billion a year to hikers. The recreational value of all Hungarian forests is about HUF 39 billion, which is one fifth of the market value of the timber harvested annually.
