The competition organised by the Croatian Innovation Institute, collaborated with professors and leaders from renowned universities such as Harvard, Stanford, Bocconi and ETH Zurich.

On June 12th, Corvinus hosted one of the largest alumni reunions in its history, where graduates from the past 56 years gathered once again. This year, for the first time, the University presented the Alumni of the Year Award in two categories.

The award was presented by Anikó Raisz, State Secretary, and Gyula Bándi, Deputy Commissioner for Fundamental Rights, who is responsible for protecting the interests of future generations.

A new Hungarian-language volume titled Higher Education Management Handbook, recently published under the editorial leadership of Corvinus University of Budapest, offers a comprehensive look into the inner workings of universities and the higher education sector. The authors set out to map the unique characteristics of university operations and provide practical guidance to decision-makers wherever possible.

The scholarship program is financed by the Colombian Institute for Technical Studies Abroad (ICETEX).

The launch of the book titled The Economics of Regional Integration was held on the 30th of April, at the Corvinus University of Budapest. During the course of the two panel discussions of the event, the topic of discussion included the methodology of research and how the book came to be, along with analysis and explanation of case studies provided by the participants. The BSI has announced a 2 round Higher Education Running Cup for citizens of higher education institutions - students, faculty, staff - for the fall semester 2024 and the spring semester 2025.

The project aims to support regional governments in aligning local development initiatives with sustainable finance regulations, an increasingly critical component of policymaking that promotes the natural environment, and biodiversity protection and restoration. 

The adventurous journey of a young, bright economics student to Cambridge — from regular mentoring sessions with Vilmos Csányi to an admission interview with a mysterious English gentleman. We spoke with Dávid-Barrett Tamás, an evolutionary behavioral researcher teaching at Oxford, who studied at Corvinus in the early ’90s before continuing at Cambridge on a scholarship. Specializing in macroeconomics, Dávid-Barrett later founded an international analyst-consulting firm. In the early 2000s, his team monitored changes in 35 countries and advised several developing nations’ governments. In 2005, his team was the first in the world to predict the approaching global financial crisis — though no one believed them then. Later, Dávid-Barrett shifted his focus more toward evolutionary behavioral research. He returned to his alma mater on the occasion of the Hungarian release of his book Gendered Species – A Natural History of Patriarchy.
