The second day of the International Sustainable Development Research Society’s annual conference, held at Corvinus University of Budapest, focused on the intersection of sustainability and artificial intelligence. On the third and final day, participants discussed key questions around the role of peace and a regenerative economy in sustainability, concluding with the adoption of the Budapest Declaration.

The 31st annual conference of the International Sustainable Development Research Society (ISDRS) was held at Corvinus University of Budapest (CUB). On the opening day, 9 July, discussions focused on the factors supporting and hindering sustainability efforts, as well as global energy challenges.

This year’s Forbes list of emerging startups with Hungarian ownership and global market ambitions has been released. Topping the 2025 ranking is SEON, an international startup founded by former Corvinus University alumni.

The first successful workshop of an Erasmus+ BIP project recently took place, bringing together 13 partner institutions and 11 associated universities to explore both the challenges and opportunities artificial intelligence (AI) presents in higher education. Corvinus University is actively contributing its perspective, which will be included in the working group’s first white paper.

The University has purchased 120 licenses for the Premium version of the AI tool QuillBot, which will be available until 26 June 2026.

Zoltán Szekér has gained significant experience in the Hungarian tourism sector at local, destination, and national levels throughout his career. Currently, he is the Sales Director at the Active and Ecotourism Development Center, an organization that actively collaborates with the Tourism Development Manager/Economist training at Corvinus University. Zoltán himself is an alumnus of the specialized training and says that he owes lifelong professional connections to the university's specialized program.

The OTP-Corvinus Mentoring Programme successfully concluded its third round this spring semester. Its growing popularity is clear: the number of participants has doubled since the programme’s launch. At the closing event held on 18 June at the OTP Bank M12 office building, Corvinus students who took part in the mentoring programme presented their experiences and insights from the past months.
