The BSI has announced a 2 round Higher Education Running Cup for citizens of higher education institutions - students, faculty, staff - for the fall semester 2024 and the spring semester 2025.

Round 1 12-13 October 2024 39th SPAR Budapest Marathon® Festival

Round 2 April 2025, 40th Telekom Vivicittá

Scoring:

Individual runners and relay team members who have entered and crossed the finish line in the colours of higher education institutions will collect participation points for their university equal to the distance covered (1 km = 1 point).

Citizens of 30 higher education institutions (1600 university students in total) entered both events – they completed a total of 23 257 km in the two events

 39th SPAR Budapest Marathon Festival 620 participants

the marathon distance was the most popular: 235 university entrants

40th Telekom Vivicittá 980 participants

the half marathon was the most popular: 450 university entrants
