The goal of the Student Support Services team when creating and organizing CONNECT was to invite both Hungarian and international students into an open-door space where they can form connections in a spontaneous way and feel part of the university community.

From September, every week we will introduce an excellent Corvinus researcher who has recently been rewarded for his/her work. Our next researcher examines producers markets and the crisis of the global supply chains, and often analyses agricultural trade, too. Áron Török comes from a family that was involved in farming in the old days, and he is a primary producer himself, in a certain sense. In his case, it is absolutely correct to say that he researches the topic that sustains him.

Each week from September, we will feature a distinguished Corvinus researcher who has recently received recognition for their work. This time we present Balázs Sziklai, who has studied political science situations, the rules of sports competitions and energy economics. He started out as a market researcher and continued as a mathematician, but he has no plans to take a new career turn.

From this year’s basic research tenders, Corvinus will get funds for the examination and algorithm research of sustainability issues, behaviour distortions, employee welfare and artificial intelligence expectations, too.  Altogether HUF 256 million will be available to our researchers for the three- or four-year projects.

Dr Eelko Huizingh, author of more than 450 publications, will give an online workshop at Corvinus. The workshop aims to promote the publication of colleagues' research in prestigious international journals.

An exceptional Horizon grant - 2.5 million EUR received by the Corvinus University of Budapest as sole beneficiary- will support the creation of a new flagship laboratory at Corvinus Institute for Advanced Studies.

Corvinus with its master programme is the only Hungarian institution in this prestigious list.

Are kings good leaders? - This is one of the questions to be answered at the Corvinus University of Budapest on Friday 30 September, where thirty programmes on a variety of topics will be offered as part of this year's Researchers' Night.

In 2022, Corvinus University of Budapest reached an important milestone, having completed the first phase of the renewal of Corvinus. The final step in the organisational transformation of the University has been taken, and this academic year will start with the new institutional structure, restructured along the lines of the University's collegial aspects and unified operational principles.

The recording of the sessions of the 60th Travelling Assembly of Economists started on Tuesday in the community space of the Hungarian Economic Association with the recording of the roundtable discussion of the startup session.
