Doctoral Programme

The goal of the programme is to prepare our students for a career in academia or as an economic analyst. Our curriculum follows the structure of the world’s leading universities, combining rigorous theoretical foundations and data analysis with practical policy relevance.

  • International Standards: The structure and requirements of our programme align with global academic standards.
  • Excellent Mentorship: A low student-to-faculty ratio guarantees that every doctoral candidate receives personalized attention and professional support from renowned local and international researchers.
  • Research Ecosystem: Regular seminars, workshops, and international conferences ensure continuous professional development and feedback. Students present at the doctoral seminar each year to receive feedback from faculty.
  • Competitive funding: Study without paying tuition and receive a scholarship to cover your expenses.
  • Curriculum

Structure of the programme

The programme is flexible: students joining from high-standard Master’s programmes may apply for credit transfers for similar subjects previously completed.

  • Core Module: Built upon four pillars: Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Econometrics, and Causal Data Analysis.
  • Specialization Module: This phase lasts until the end of the second year, during which you can choose from four specializations:
    • Applied Theory
    • Empirical Research
    • Finance
    • Macroeconomics
  • Research Module: The focus gradually shifts from coursework toward independent research. Students present their ideas in doctoral seminars, where they receive constructive criticism from experts.
