Pandemics, wars, natural disasters and financial turmoil tend to trigger similar patterns in food consumption. People start panic-buying, they switch to cheaper products, local sources become more important and online shopping grows – according to researchers in agricultural economics at Corvinus University.

The Corvinus Consulting Club student organization team achieved outstanding results at the AKB Business Champions international case study competition organized by the University of Mannheim. With this performance, Corvinus achieved its best result ever in this prestigious international competition.

Our undergraduate students participated in the Rotterdam–Carleton International Case Competition in October, securing third place at the Championship Finals after winning all three divisional rounds.

Lead: The name of the National Scientific Students' Associations Conference, or OTDK, should ring a bell. This year, in 2025, a Corvinus student joined the ranks of Pro Scientia gold medalists after winning several first and podium places at the OTDK.

On 09 October, the Omnichannel Research Group of Corvinus University of Budapest and the University of Pécs, in cooperation with the Institute of Marketing and Communication Sciences at Corvinus and the Institute of Marketing and Tourism at the Faculty of Business and Economics, University of Pécs, organized the 4th Omnichannel Day workshop, titled “FROM MOBILE SCREENS TO IMMERSIVE SCENES”, held at the Corvinus Faculty Club.

József Váradi, Co-founder and CEO of Wizz Air Holdings, graduated in Economics from Corvinus University’s predecessor institution. In 2003, together with his business partners, he founded Wizz Air, which under his leadership has grown into a globally recognized and highly successful airline. In our video, he shares the journey that led him to an internationally successful leadership career and the foundations he built during his university years.

The evacuation drill originally scheduled for Thursday, November 6 in the Main Building will not take place. Instead, it will be held on Friday, November 7, between 12:00 and 14:00.

At the end of October, our university took part in international education fairs in the Turkish metropolis, and together with the Liszt Institute in Istanbul, an alumni meeting was also organized for our former students and for prospective applicants interested in Corvinus programmes.

Corvinus University of Budapest continues to rank among the world’s top universities, once again the only Hungarian institution featured in the 2026 lists of Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), the international higher education rating organisation, evaluating international trade education programmes. Corvinus was included with its Executive MBA programme for practising professionals and its Master’s in International Economy and Business.
