KPMG becomes strategic partner of Corvinus

The Corvinus University of Budapest, Hungary's leading university of business, economic and social sciences, and KPMG, one of Hungary's leading audit, tax and business advisory firms, have signed a strategic agreement. The cooperation between the university and the consultancy firm is based on three pillars: education, mutual knowledge transfer and talent management.

New Programmes and One-Year Master’s Degrees at Corvinus

This year, we are welcoming applicants with exciting new master’s programmes, starting in September 2025. Several of our new programmes focus on management and entrepreneurship, offering something for everyone—whether you are interested in comprehensive leadership knowledge or innovative business solutions. We’re also proud to launch a one-year MBA programme, tailored to prepare students for the complexities of the international business world. Additionally, our Social Data Science programme brings a unique, interdisciplinary approach that merges multiple fields of expertise to tackle real-world data challenges.

According to Bruno van Pottelsberghe, Corvinus is an excellent institution with a rich historical context, and very strong scientific and pedagogical credentials. They now need to open up to the world. He expects the new governance structure to increase our international visibility and provide a more effective and collegial decision-making process within the university. The new set-up will help strengthen the trust and mutual respect between the professional services and the faculty, and foster cooperation and collective motivation in all areas.

The Restless and Profitless: The High Cost of Missing Workplace Napping

While napping at work may seem irresponsible to many, a short nap that interrupts work is associated with fewer errors, absenteeism and, not least, more frequent promotions. If you want to improve your alertness quickly, take no more than 20 minutes of sleep, as more than 45 minutes of sleep takes hours to take effect. The topic was recently reviewed in a summary study by Corvinus researchers.
