Library news – Changes, novelties

Did you know that we have access to the online versions of The Economist and the Financial Times? Access is available through IP on different devices with an individual account. The steps for registration and other information are available in the links above.

During the semester, we offer different trials. The testing phase for Project Syndicate is active and will be open for Orbis M&A soon. From the beginning of March, Passport, the market research database, will be available. We welcome any additional requests via the database request form.

Since the number of Qualtrics licences is limited, it was necessary to clear unused accounts in January. Following this procedure, we refreshed our policy, helping researchers to get precise information about the registration process.

Changes will be made to accessing the Orbis database. Later this semester, Orbis authentication will change to SSO within the IP range. Further information will appear soon in the database description.

ECDB is no longer part of the Statista database. The reason is that the ECDB service provider decided to make their database independent of Statista. We started negotiations about future cooperation.

Due to low usage, we discontinued the subscription to some databases. From January, there is no access to the databases containing Hungarian scholarly books (Typotex, Osiris and L’Harmattan), nor to the online dictionaries. Books in print from the publishers above are still available in the Library collection.
