The Institute of Marketing and Communication Sciences invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor for a 3-year period.
The start date is the Spring/Summer of 2025 – depending on the selected candidate(s) availability
Job description and key duties:
Teaching and mentoring activities:
- Teaching courses in the field of Consumer Behaviour and (Advanced) Marketing Research belonging to the portfolio of the Institute of Marketing and Communication Sciences in weekly class hours as defined by the University’s Academic Career Model,
- Contributing to the continuous enhancement of teaching programmes,
- Student mentoring and talent management at the BA/MA/PhD levels.
Research activities:
- Active contribution to the research portfolio of the Department of Intercultural Marketing and Consumer Behaviour,
- Participation at conferences,
- Quality publications (Q2/Q1/D1),
- Participation in and/or initiation of research fund raising application activities.
Service:
- Participation in the professional life of the institute and university and performance of service-related tasks as determined by the Head of the Institute and the Chair of the Department of Intercultural Marketing and Consumer Behaviour.
Essential qualifications and experience:
- PhD degree
- Teaching experience in the areas of Consumer Behaviour and/or Marketing Research in English
- Minimum 2 published Scopus articles
Desirable criteria:
- Excellent communication skills in English,
- More teaching experience in higher education in the areas of Consumer Behaviour and/or Marketing Research is an advantage,
- Proficiency in multivariate statistical methods,
- Research interest in the field of Consumer Behaviour,
- Proven track record of quality publications, especially in Scopus Q1/2 journals, is an advantage
- Excellent student feedback.

- Detailed curriculum vitae including the detailed presentation of the teaching, research and service activities and results,
- Cover letter, including the presentation of future academic plans (educational, teaching development and research plans),
- References written by at least two reputable leading professors or researchers of the discipline (signed, scanned),
- Research paper
- Scanned copies of the documents verifying the university degree and of the documents verifying other professional qualifications.
