Research Assistant – ARH-160/2024

The Institute of Finance announces an open call for applications for the Research Assistant position for  1 year definite period.

The starting date is spring semester 2025.

Job description and key duties:

Teaching duties:

  • Teaching subjects belonging to the education portfolio of the University, focusing on financial communication and communication, also on how to communicate research results (e.g. thesis seminar, TDK supervision) in weekly class hours as defined by the Academic Career Model.

Research duties:

  • Writing articles in prestigious international and domestic journal in the field of Communication, Financial Communication, Crisis Communication and Sustainability.
  • Participating at important international and domestic conferences, building international scientific relationships, getting involved in research projects, active research grant application activity in the field of Communication, Financial Communication and Sustainability, thus securing the resources of the research projects and contributing to the internationalisation of the Institute and the University.

Service duties:

  • Active participation in the professional life of the Institute of Finance and the University, performing service tasks determined by the head of the Institute of Finance.
  • Organising international events, like conferences and research seminars.
  • Assist in external communication duties of the Institute of Finance.  

Qualifications and experience:

  • Comprehensive examination passed as part of PhD studies;
  • Teaching-research experience gained in higher education or research experience;
  • Performing teaching activities;
  • Participating in grant application process;
  • Conducting independent research;
  • Publishing high-quality papers of the achieved research results in English;
  • Writing working papers;
  • Organising scientific events;
  • Communicating scientific events professionally on social media platforms.

Preferences:

  • Student evaluation verifying teaching excellence;
  • Research activity (verifiable);
  • Active role in talent management;
  • Experience in participating in research groups;
  • International embeddedness, regular participation in international conferences, membership in international networks;
  • Participation in the work of professional organisations.

Documents and certificates to be submitted as part of the application:

  • Curriculum Vitae including a detailed presentation of teaching, research and service activities and results
  • Summary table of achievements (Please fill in the Summary table Excel for assistant professor applications)
  • Cover letter, including the presentation of future academic plans (educational, teaching development and research plans)
  • References written by at least two reputable leading professors or researchers of the discipline (signed, scanned)
  • Two international publications
  • Doctoral dissertation
  • Scanned copies of the documents verifying the university degree, and of the documents verifying other professional qualifications. (In case of scientific ranks obtained abroad, the nostrification will be arranged in the next phase of the selection procedure.)
