By combining the academic knowledge of Corvinus University and the business experience of MVM companies, the main goal of the two organisations is to raise the quality of education and research in Hungary, especially in the field of innovation and business development.

The leaders of Corvinus University of Budapest, the University of Pannonia and the National Research, Development and Innovation Office signed an agreement on 18 October at Corvinus University in Budapest to promote innovation management in Hungary. As part of the cooperation, they established the National Innovation Conference, which is to be developed into an international event and will be held alternately at the two signatory universities every year.

In October our university participated in the NHH International Case Competition in Bergen, Norway for the first time. Our team of four, Noémi Kopka, Mirella Fekete, Zsanett Őrsi and Márton Nyikos, became the winner out of 12 teams.

The CEMS MIM programme, which can be completed by the students of the Corvinus with several other business programmes, as a double degree programme, was ranked 12th in the QS 2023 Masters in Management, one of the world’s best known management programme ranking. As of 2022, the students of the English-language Organisation and Management master programme are automatically admitted to this programme.

From September, every week we will introduce an excellent Corvinus researcher who has recently been rewarded for his/her work. This time we introduce our colleague, László Szabó, who has been researching the energy sector for 25 years, analysing medium- and long-term consumption, production and glasshouse gas emission trends.

The goal of the Student Support Services team when creating and organizing CONNECT was to invite both Hungarian and international students into an open-door space where they can form connections in a spontaneous way and feel part of the university community.

The economic and energy crisis is also an opportunity for the university to rethink its sustainability in the areas of energy efficiency, waste management and biodiversity, by stepping out of its comfort zone.
