Welcome Week 2026

This is where your Corvinus journey begins.

Whether you’re joining us from across Budapest or across the world, Welcome Week is your chance to feel at home before classes begin.

Complete your enrolment, meet your Programme Director, discover our campuses, make new friends, and experience university life before the semester even starts.

Before you arrive, make sure you’re prepared for your in-person enrolment. Review the required documents and enrolment steps before Welcome Week to make your first day as smooth as possible.

Your first day at glance

Welcome Week takes place from 31 August to 4 September 2026 and welcomes all new students. Each day offers different programmes, so you can join for one day or take part in events throughout the week.
Your main point of reference is the Programme Director’s Welcome Lecture, with the date determined by your programme. Sessions are scheduled on different days, so first check which day your lecture takes place (see the Programme Director’s Welcome Lecture section).
If you applied through DreamApply, you need to complete your in-person enrolment after arriving at Corvinus. You will be able to book an enrolment appointment in advance; please choose a date that is the same day as your Programme Director’s Welcome Lecture whenever possible. (Please note: if you applied through the Hungarian central admission system (felvi.hu), please check the Hungarian version of the enrolment information.)
Programme Director’s Welcome Lectures and the in-person enrolment will take place in Building C of the University (Közraktár utca 4–6., 1093 Budapest) at either 9:30 or 11:00. The Welcome Zone opens from 8:00, where our team will help you find your way around and assist with registration.
Following the Programme Director’s Welcome Lecture, we will walk together to Gellért Campus as part of the Campus Walk.
The afternoon programmes are open to all new students. Join us at least once, and if you would like to take part on multiple days, we will be happy to welcome you back.

More than a Welcome Week.

It’s where your Corvinus journey officially begins. During Welcome Week you’ll:

complete your in-person enrolment and officially become a Corvinus student
meet your Programme Director and learn what to expect from your studies,
discover the campuses and learn your way around,
meet the people who will support you,

Start your Welcome Week journey

1. Welcome Zone

Your first stop when you arrive at Corvinus.

Pick up your name badge, collect your first Welcome Week stamp, meet our student helpers and get an overview of what’s happening during the day.

The Welcome Zone is open every day from 8:00 AM. If you have some free time between programmes, take a break in the chill zone, play a game of table tennis, grab a coffee from one of the nearby cafés, or treat yourself to something delicious from the bakery at the Farmers’ Market.

After your Programme Director’s session and enrolment, the Campus Walk starts also from here — next stop: Gellért Campus!

Don’t forget to collect your stamps on your name badge! Throughout the day, if you collect all 6, you can enter the prize draw for a chance to win a Budapest Park voucher or Corvinus merch.

Have some time before your next Welcome Week programme?

Join a guided Library Tour and discover the library’s spaces & services. From Monday to Thursday -no registration is required – just join the tour if it suits you.

2. In-person enrolment (mandatory)

Enrolment is the first step to become an active student at Corvinus and must be completed in person after your arrival. The University will verify your identity and your required documents. Once your enrolment is completed, you can activate your semester in Neptun, the University’s central student administration system, and register for your courses.

The Official Enrolment Period and Welcome Week is from Monday 31 August to Friday 4 September 2026. We recommend completing your enrolment on the same day as your Programme Director’s Welcome Lecture.

You will be able to book an appointment for your enrolment. The booking link will be available soon.

3. Programme Director's Welcome Lecture (mandatory)

Meet your Programme Director and learn how your programme is structured, what to pay attention to and what to expect throughout your studies.

4. Guided Campus Walk

Your first time moving between campuses?

Join our interactive Campus Walk, complete challenges, collect a Welcome Week stamp and discover the places you’ll become familiar with throughout your studies.

There are three time slots to choose from for the Campus Walk. Please choose a time slot that takes place after your programme coordinator’s welcome lecture and your enrolment. If you finish later than expected, don’t worry — we will make sure you can still join the Campus Walk. In this case, please choose the latest time slot.

5. Welcome Festival at Gellért Campus

Your Welcome Week continues beyond the academic sessions.

Join workshops, discover student services, meet fellow students and explore opportunities that will support you throughout your university journey.

6. Academic Year Opening Ceremony and Welcome Party

Let’s officially open the 2026/27 academic year!

Join us for the Academic Year Opening Ceremony at the Várkert Bazaar, where, through the Freshers’ Oath, you will officially become a member of the Corvinus community. The ceremony will be made memorable by welcome speeches and special performances.

Admin & Banking

Take care of important administrative tasks and banking questions during Welcome Week.

Government Office Bus: During Welcome Week, from Monday to Friday, between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM, the Government Office Bus will be on campus, where you can apply for your student ID or request a new address card if needed. (please note that this is not an immigration office, so immigration-related matters cannot be handled here)..

OTP Bank:  You can also visit the bank information desk to learn about opening a Hungarian bank account, available account options, and banking services in Hungary.
