We met our alumni in Munich

Throughout the autumn, the university participated in several international education fairs in major cities abroad and organised related alumni events. Our aim with these initiatives was to strengthen the university’s international visibility and to further develop our alumni relations.
Following Zurich and Istanbul, on 26 November we hosted another alumni gathering at the Consulate General of Hungary in Munich for our graduates living and working in Germany. Participants could listen to two sustainability-themed lectures by Katalin Ásványi, Dean for Sustainability at Corvinus, and Ágnes Zsóka, Professor at the university.
In her talk, Katalin Ásványi presented the university’s strategic objectives and the sustainability efforts aligned with these goals. She also gave insight into how sustainability-related knowledge is integrated into teaching at the university.
Ágnes Zsóka, Professor at Corvinus, introduced the results of two recent research projects: one examining household energy consumption, and another exploring how students’ attitudes change after completing a sustainability course.
After the two sustainability presentations, Marianna Baker, Head of International Student Recruitment, spoke about the university’s internationalisation goals, highlighting the importance of recruiting international students and the institution’s efforts to provide current students with relevant international internship or job opportunities through the alumni network abroad.
Anna Gyarmati, Head of Alumni Relations, also shared details about the university’s ongoing developments in alumni engagement.
The Munich alumni meeting would not have been possible without the significant support of the Consulate General of Hungary and its colleagues, for which we extend our sincere thanks.
