The first Spotlight on Teaching Meetup was held on 5 June

The event showcased good teaching practices recognised by the University’s Spotlight on Teaching call.

The aim of the call was to highlight outstanding and creative teaching practices that go beyond the boundaries of a subject or discipline and can inspire others. The winning teachers presented their practices in live, interactive workshops at the Meetup.

During the workshops that ran in parallel after the opening, recognizedteachers presented their methodological approaches in practice. Participants were able to experience first-hand how these methods work in classroom situations, what the benefits are, what to look out for when using them, and they also had the opportunity to ask questions.

Examples presented included an interactive session based on a stock market game, a live podcast in the classroom, a learning support approach based on gamification and practical exercises, and an interactive seminar based on world politics models. The sessions also covered other interesting topics: challenge-based teaching, the workbook method, making subject requirements more transparent, and a complex business case-solving ecosystem were also presented.

The Meetup ended with a lunch, where the exchange of experiences and networking continued in a more informal way. For participants, the day offered not only inspiring professional content but also a real community experience.
