Senate meeting on September 22: submissions now available

The first Senate meeting of the 2026/2027 academic year will take place on 22 September 2026. The proposals for the meeting were published on the Senate website on Friday, 11 September, where they are available to all members of the university community.

Agenda
The agenda of the Senate meeting on 22 September is as follows:
- Report of the Ad Hoc Committee on the Composition, Election, and Operation of the Senate
- Amendment of the Organisational and Operational Procedures
- HR matters
- Following the agenda: Information on the renewal / establishment of research centres
Senate meetings are open to all members of the university community, except for those parts of the meetings concerning personnel matters.
Senate Election and the Formation of the New Senate
At its September meeting, the Senate will, among other matters, decide on amendments to the University’s Organisational and Operational Procedures (OOP) and the related regulations.
If the Senate adopts the amendments and they are subsequently approved by the Board of Trustees, the Senate election process can begin.
In accordance with the applicable legal requirements, the new Senate must be constituted by 31 October 2026. The first meeting of the newly constituted Senate is currently planned for 10 November 2026.

During the autumn semester of the 2026/2027 academic year, Senate meetings are currently planned for the following dates:
- 22 September 2026
- 20 October 2026
- 10 November 2026 – planned first meeting of the new Senate
- 15 December 2026
