Corvinus strengthens its executive education portfolio by integrating a prestigious business school

From 1 January, cooperation between SEED (School of Executive Education and Development) and Corvinus University of Budapest will become even closer. This will create Hungary’s largest university-based executive education provider, aiming to become one of Central and Eastern Europe’s leading schools in the market within a few years.

One of the key pillars of the University’s 2025–2028 “Bridge” strategy is to support student career paths not only from enrolment to graduation, but beyond that too — during the active phase of their careers and in multiple ways, in an international environment.

A major step towards delivering on this commitment is that, from 1 January 2026, SEED Executive School will become part of Corvinus University and will operate as the University’s executive education unit under the name Corvinus School for Executive Education and Development (Corvinus–SEED). As part of the integration, SEED’s current faculty, coaches and operational support team enter into a contract with Corvinus.

SEED — founded 11 years ago and delivering programmes to more than 300 companies across 45 countries — has been running a range of short executive programmes successfully for several years. In addition, SEED’s teaching team, typically with many years of senior leadership experience, has contributed to the Corvinus Executive MBA programme.

Corvinus’ new executive education portfolio brings together the strengths of both organisations, meeting corporate and labour market expectations while focusing on practice-oriented learning. Corvinus–SEED will not only offer traditional short open-enrolment programmes, but will also develop company-specific leadership programmes quickly, tailored to the needs of local and international organisations.

The 2026 Corvinus-SEED portfolio is largely made up of English-taught programmes. The Transformation Edge programmes address the challenges of today’s fast-changing business world, while the Leadership Excellence programmes focus on leadership excellence and professional business practice. The ones from Future Business Skills and Business Mastery, meanwhile, concentrate on the business capabilities that will be essential in the future, as well as up-to-date, master-level expertise in core business areas. The programmes cover the broadest possible range of topics, from change management and AI-driven business innovation to an Aspiring Women Leaders programme and marketing strategy.

“By integrating SEED, Corvinus has taken a new path — a turning point in executive education for us, and we hope for the region as well. This initiative is crucial for the University’s future because, under our Bridge strategy, we see it as our responsibility to meet the growing labour market demand for executive education among leaders in Central and Eastern Europe with a high-quality, timely and attractive portfolio that addresses today’s challenges,” said Bruno van Pottelsberghe, Rector of Corvinus University of Budapest.

“The Corvinus–SEED motto is: We develop better leaders for a better world. We believe that, together with Corvinus, we can achieve more. For managers, leaders, and experts across the wider region, we offer leadership journeys that are truly distinctive in their structure, focus, and practical relevance — and that deliver the highest value for our business partners’, said László Eszes, Director of Corvinus–SEED.

In the coming months, the new Corvinus-SEED Department will fine-tune its processes and strategic plan, securing the lean governance needed to develop innovative programmes for current and future leaders.
