The IHMA was established in 2016 in cooperation with Fordham University in New York, Universita di Cagliari, EGADE Business School and UDEM Business School in Mexico, and the Economy for the Common Good. Its main goals are to protect the dignity of human and non-human life, to recognize the intrinsic value of life in organizational processes and management, to promote the common good, to strengthen life-conducive management processes, and to support the change in mindset, institutions, and business practices necessary to achieve the true well-being (’flourishing’) of all stakeholders.

The global, interdisciplinary research, education and community-building network works – in collaboration with the United Nations’ Principles for Responsible Management Education program – to achieve a socially and ecologically sustainable, humanistic economy.

After majoring in management and organization, and then gaining experience in finance, accounting and project management, András Ócsai has been researching and teaching at the university for more than ten years in the areas of business ethics, sustainable value creation, value-oriented, responsible leadership and spirituality in the economy. Through the collaborations provided by IHMA fellowship, his goal is to contribute to changes in the economy and especially in the field of management that help solve the social and environmental problems of our era.
