Corvinus Scholarship Guide – What, When and How?

At Corvinus University you can apply for several types of scholarships – based on your academic results, social situation, community involvement, student organisation activities or research. Here are the most important things to know.

Corvinus Scholarship 

If you were admitted as a Corvinus Scholarship student in your first year, the University covers your tuition fee for both semesters of your first academic year. 

Every year the University reviews all Corvinus Scholarship holders. During the review period, you may also apply for the scholarship for the next academic year if you did not receive it in your first year. 

To keep or obtain the scholarship, you must be included in the review ranking. The minimum requirements for this are based on the two most recent completed active semesters (not including semesters spent studying abroad): 

Minimum requirements to be ranked (in the last two completed active semesters, if you did not study abroad): 

  • at least a 3.80 credit-weighted average, 

  • at least 46 completed credits. 

The eligibility review takes place at the end of each academic year. If you would like to switch to the Corvinus Scholarship, you need to submit your application then. 

 

Study Scholarship 

A monthly grant awarded for outstanding academic performance. 

  • At least one completed semester is required. 

  • Your results are compared to students in your programme. 

Applications open at the beginning of every semester. 

 

Social Scholarships 

Available based on financial or family situation to help with everyday expenses. 

Depending on the type, applications can be submitted each semester or in case of extraordinary circumstances. 

 

Public Affairs Scholarship 

A one-time grant for students actively participating in HÖK or in other significant community or cultural activities. 

  • The amount of the grant depends on the time invested. 

Applications are possible monthly. 

 

Student Organisation Scholarship 

Available to active members of accredited student organisations and colleges for advanced studies. 

  • A one-time grant depending on the time invested. 

Applications open monthly. 

 

Visegrad Scholarship 

For Master’s students from selected Central and Eastern European countries. 

  • Provides financial support per semester. 

Usual application deadline: April. 

 

Other scholarships 

  • Research scholarshipsmainly for Master’s and PhD students, supporting research or international experience. 

  • Partner scholarshipsoffered by corporate or institutional partners, often linked to internships. 

  • Doctoral scholarship – a regular monthly allowance for PhD students.

What to watch out for 

  • Detailed conditions and deadlines are always published in the official calls. 

  • Current calls can be found on the University website under the scholarship section. 

  • Applications must be submitted in Neptun during the application period. 

  • Information is also available on the website and Corvinus social media channels. 

  • You can apply for more than one scholarship at the same time, and receive multiple grants simultaneously.
