Language teaching at Corvinus will operate in a transitional format in the spring semester

Students on the BA programmes in International Business and International Studies, as well as the MA programmes in International Studies and International Economy and Business, who have already started (or are now starting) the compulsory second language, will be able to continue language learning in the spring semester under unchanged conditions. During the first week of the preliminary course registration period, Spanish, French, Italian, Russian, Portuguese, Chinese and Arabic courses will be available exclusively to them. All other language courses will be available to all students from the start of preliminary course registration.
From the second week, students from other programmes will also be able to access Spanish, French, Italian, Russian, Portuguese, Chinese and Arabic courses, and may register for any remaining places in the groups. Once demand has been assessed, the university will consider for which courses there is both a need and the capacity to open additional groups.
Work on the new model for language teaching has already begun. Corvinus leadership is holding consultations with the Student Union, an informal student representative group, the professional head of the Language Centre and its staff, as well as the University Senate. An effective and economically sustainable new service model, acceptable to those concerned, is planned to be introduced in the autumn semester of the 2026–27 academic year.
