Innovation, Quality, and Professional Excellence: Budapest Management Review journal presented its 2025 awards

Since 2017, the journal has been awarding prizes every year for the best studies published in the journal. This year, the editorial board selected the most outstanding articles from the 2023 volume. In awarding the prizes, the editorial board considered several criteria: the innovativeness of the topic choice, the quality of the referenced literature and the methodological soundness of the study, as well as the theoretical and practical relevance of the conclusions. In addition, the readership data of the articles also played an important role in the decision.
Winner of the Best Article Award:
Ágnes Szabó, Attila Kajos (2023): Organisational and individual aspects of workplace physical activity programmes.
Best English-language article:
Dibya Rathi, Gyöngyi Vörösmarty, Tünde Tátrai (2023): Gender issues in procurement: A review of current themes and future research directions.
The following articles also received awards for excellence:

This year, for the first time, the editorial board wanted to recognize not only outstanding authors, but also outstanding reviewers. When awarding the reviewer certificates, the depth and detail of the reviews, their constructiveness, objectivity, communication style, and reliable adherence to deadlines were taken into account, based on performance over the three years preceding the decision. Based on these criteria Andrea Gelei, Gábor Klimkó, and Balázs Révész received outstanding reviewer recognition.
