IT Security Maintenance on November 14 and 15

The deployment of the University’s new firewall will require a shutdown of IT systems, which will begin on 14 November 2025 at 14:00. The planned completion time is midnight on 15 November 2025.
During this period, IT specialists will commission the University’s firewall — the most important element of the first line of IT security. This work can only be carried out by temporarily shutting down all IT systems and the network.
The following services will not be available:
-
Within the University: there will be no access to the Internet, the internal network, or any University-hosted applications (such as Neptun, Moodle, SAP, Cusman, the website, the MyCorvinus app, internal storage, etc.).
-
University laboratory and classroom computers will not be accessible.
-
From outside the University: in addition to the above applications, VPN access will also be unavailable.
-
Telephone service and Wi-Fi will not be operational, including in the dormitories.
However, all applications that do not run on the University’s infrastructure — such as email, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint — will remain accessible through your own Internet connection. As the VPN service will be unavailable, access to these systems during this period will require two-factor authentication.
The IT Department plans to complete the work by midnight on 15 November 2025, after which all systems will return to normal operation.
The development was carried out as part of project RRF-2.1.2-21-2022-00034.
