Design as a business force: Corvinus launches a new master’s programme

The programme is aimed at applicants with a constructive, creative mindset — people who don’t just want to solve briefs and deliver campaigns, but are ready to set direction as innovative leaders. Graduates will develop a broad perspective on building products, brands, and even start-ups, integrating social, sustainability and business considerations into their work.
Designed for those who want to create business and social impact through creative thinking, the curriculum focuses on designerly approaches, organisational communication, identity and advertising. Teaching follows value creation through co-teaching, co-consulting and co-authoring in an experimental setting: extensive group work, live projects, and a strong emphasis on action-oriented skills.
Key modules include Design Communication and Creative Management, Communication Design for Dynamic and Sustainable Identities, Critical Approaches to Advertising, Corporate Responsibility and ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance), and Gentle Rhetoric and Responsible Leadership Skills.
“This is the master’s programme that puts creatives on a leadership track. We believe design isn’t decoration — it’s a creator’s mindset and a prerequisite for meaningful creative decisions. That’s why this programme is for those who don’t just want to adapt to a changing world, but to shape it. If you want to turn your creative ideas into real products, campaigns or ventures, we provide the support and tools you’ll need,” said Dóra Horváth, Head of the programme and Associate Professor at Corvinus.
Becoming a confident creator and visionary entrepreneur
The MA is recommended as a standalone one-year programme for applicants with a relevant bachelor’s degree. A two-year route is also available for those with fewer prior credits in the field: in this case, applicants are advised to choose the Innovation and Entrepreneurship MA. The first year covers business foundations, and in the second year students complete the Design, Business and Society curriculum as a specialisation.
The programme can be tuition-free with the Corvinus Scholarship (Corvinus’ equivalent of a state-funded scholarship), which is available to the majority of applicants to Corvinus master’s programmes via the national admission website felvi.hu receive. The scholarship is also available to domestic applicants who have already used up their state-funded years at another institution.
The domestic application deadline is 15 February. Corvinus alumni are exempt from the written entrance exam if they graduated with good or excellent degree.
Corvinus welcomes applicants with strong corporate and international connections, as well as career support, helping future creative leaders enter the labour market with solid, practical knowledge.
