Corvinus expands its portfolio with one-year postgraduate programmes focusing on the public sector and HR

The Public Policy Analyst and Consultant programme, as well as the Specialist Economist in Public Policy Analysis and Consultancy programme, is designed around the needs of the Hungarian public sector. Its aim is to provide participants with structured and practical knowledge that can be applied effectively in their everyday work, covering government operations, public management, methods of public policy analysis, and the evaluation and management of policy programmes. The programme is characterised by a wide range of topics, complex problem-solving, and an approach focused on responsible stewardship.
The programme is primarily intended for those involved in preparing government decisions, conducting public policy analyses, evaluating measures, or implementing policy programmes, as well as those planning to move forward in this direction. Students can deepen their knowledge in the economic, human, environmental and development sectors, while also working on examples brought from their own professional fields.
“The quality and soundness of decisions concerning our common affairs are very much felt in everyday life, as they affect the public services we receive and how public funds are used. The aim of the programme is to equip students with analytical, decision-preparation and programme evaluation skills that they can apply directly and effectively in their own professional environments,” said Dr Gábor Tamás Molnár, programme director.
A springboard to senior HR leadership positions
Corvinus is also launching an HR Business Partner programme and an HR Business Partner Specialist Economist programme in cooperation with Flow Consulting Kft. The programme focuses on HR solutions that create business value, more agile HR operations, automated processes, data-driven HR, leadership support, and the development of strategic HR action plans.
The programme is particularly useful for HR leaders, HR Business Partners and middle managers working in HR, especially professionals employed by medium-sized and large companies, as well as knowledge-intensive smaller businesses. According to the philosophy of the Corvinus programme, the essence of HR’s role as a business partner is for the function to appear in business decision-making as a significant source of added value, a competitive advantage, and a meaningful partner accordingly.
“Human resources and organisational culture are playing an increasingly strategic role in today’s volatile business environment. HR Business Partners are key players in strengthening HR operations that support business goals, dialogue with leaders, and partnership among employees within organisations,” said Dr Sándor Takács, programme director.
Applicants must have a higher education degree and at least three years of work experience. An economics degree is required to obtain the specialist economist qualification.
