105 Awards at This Year’s OTDK

The 37th National Scientific Students’ Associations Conference once again offered an opportunity for students from across Hungarian higher education – both within and beyond the country’s borders – to present their research results and in-depth academic work to the scholarly community. Representing the Corvinus University of Budapest, our students won a total of 105 awards across various sections: 32 first prizes, 34 second prizes, 16 third prizes, and 23 special awards.
As in previous years, the most successful participation was in the Economics Section, held at the University of Miskolc. Corvinus students achieved 23 first, 26 second, and 11 third prizes, as well as 20 special awards, earning a total of 80 recognitions in this section. In the Social Sciences Section, also hosted in Miskolc, our students earned 7 first, 6 second, 4 third prizes, and 2 special awards.
Beyond these, notable results were also achieved in other sections, in the Agricultural Sciences Section (Csíkszereda), one third prize was awarded, in the Physics, Geosciences and Mathematics Section (Pécs), one first and one second prize, while the Physical Education and Sport Sciences Section (Budapest) brought one first prize, one second prize, and one special award to our university.
Several students submitted more than one paper and earned multiple awards. These include András Babos, Sára Both, Ádám Eperjesi-Kovács, Hunor Kelemen, Marcell László Kiss, Bernadett Tóth, and Tamás Vida. We would especially like to highlight Marcell László Kiss, who, for his two first prizes, received the “Promise” badge of honour from the Society of Pro Scientia Gold Medalists.
Supervisors also played a significant role in this success. Zoltán Madari supported students as (co-)supervisor of 10 award-winning papers, and Milán Csaba Badics was involved in 8 such papers. We would like to express our sincere thanks to all our academic advisors, whose professional guidance, encouragement, and mentorship contributed greatly to these achievements.
Congratulations to all participants, supervisors, and organisers for their dedicated work and outstanding performance!
See you in 2027!
