Title: Bolsonaro’s discourse and political program: what to expect from the new Brazilian administration?
Abstract:
This lecture holds the following objectives: (i) to contextualize
Brazil in the last two decades, pointing out the results of the previous
administrations (sky-high homicide rate, corruption and briberies in
politics and justice, stagnation of the economy, failure with the
education results); (ii) to identify the objectives and measuring the
modalities of action to reach those objectives; and (iii) to assess the
discourse and the network of Bolsonaro’s administration.
Among the main findings are (i) systematizing objectives and
modalities of action of the new Brazilian administration, (ii)
underlining the fact that a new Brazilian geopolitical design is still
inexistent, (iii) noting that Bolsonaro’s administration is into a weak
position due to the lack of a conservative counter-culture in Brazil.”
