Frequently Asked Questions

What is Coospace?

It is very similar to the Moodle interface, mostly used in business information systems. There, too, different courses and classes will appear for you where teachers upload the subject materials, and you will have to use it to submit essays and assignments and complete tests: http://coo.uni-corvinus.hu/coospace/?ReturnUrl=%2fcoospace%2fHome

What is Moodle?

Moodle is a distance learning portal where teachers usually upload lecture and seminar/practice materials, slides, as well as book details/chapters, recommended articles, test samples. Usually it also contains the materials and exercises of the e-learning subjects and there are assignments that have to be completed there (submission). You can access the system here: https://moodle.uni-corvinus.hu/login/index.php

What is the Neptun System?

NEPTUN is a unified study system that works differently at each university. You will use NEPTUN to pick up subjects and exams, compile your timetable, apply for active or passive semesters, pay tuition, exam fees and other expenses, and to submit requests, applications, specialization, and scholarships are also recorded on this platform. You can access it through this link: https://neptun3r.web.uni-corvinus.hu/hallgatoi_1/login.aspx

What is the CUSMAN system?

It is central user management system developed by the university. CUSMAN synchronizes the passwords so that users can access all online interfaces across the university with the same password. The exception to this is the Neptun system, which requires a separate login ID (see the next question for more information). When you use the system for the first time you have to activate your account at cusman.uni-corvinus.com.

How do I switch from self-financing to Corvinus Scholarship?

Once in each academic year the University reviews the eligibility criteria for the scholarship based on the performance of the last two active semesters in which you did not participate in an Erasmus+ funded foreign exchange programme or internship.

The reviewers look at your annual academic results (at least 3.8 average is required), the number of credits you have obtained (minimum 46 credits), and your academic and student organisation activities. A student ranking order is established for each programme, so the best students are granted scholarship for the next two semesters.

Where can I find out more about Student Loans?

On the Student Loan website you will find all the information you need on interest rates of the loans for free or fixed use, the terms and conditions and the process of the application.

How can I pay my tuition fee?

There are two ways to pay the tuition fee through the Neptun interface. By choosing Simplepay, you can settle your payment immediately, while you have a processing time of 2-3 days if you transfer the amount into the specified omnibus account.

Can I pay the tuition fee in instalments?

Yes, the dean can allow it in up to two instalments. Applications must be submitted through the Neptun interface, no later than one week before the first day of the enrolment/registration period. The first instalment is due by the registration deadline, the second instalment is due in October in the autumn semester and by 10 March in the spring semester.

Will students who were previously awarded a state scholarship (before 2020) have the opportunity to retain the grant? Do they have to expect a change?

All current students complete the training and curriculum in which they began their studies. The Corvinus reform process does not affect our current students in relation to scholarships, either. They will complete their studies under the same conditions that applied when they began their programme. The funding status of state scholarship holders will continue to exist, along with the related financial benefits (study grants, social benefits, etc.).

Can I postpone starting university?

Pursuant to Act CCIV of 2011 on National Higher Education and the University's Study and Examination Regulations, you may have a passive status before completing the first semester if you are unable to meet your obligations relating to student status due to childbirth, accident, illness or any other unexpected cause, which is not your own fault.
