Monitoring hundreds of business schools around the world, the Financial Times compiles an international ranking of the best business schools and their courses each year. The Corvinus master’s degree in Management and Organisation is ranked 91st this year in the Financial Times Masters in Management global rankings. The programme has been consistently ranked in the prestigious British business magazine for 12 years.
This ranking also shows that Corvinus is an internationally competitive Hungarian university. Our goal is for Corvinus University of Budapest to be the leading university in Hungary and Central Europe by 2030.”- stated the Rector of Corvinus University of Budapest, Előd Takáts.
Only five programmes in Central and Eastern Europe are among the world’s top 100 management programmes, including the Management and Organisation master’s degree programme of Corvinus University of Budapest, as the only Hungarian programme. The Financial Times also ranked the courses in terms of value for money. In this respect, the Corvinus programme was ranked 22nd this year. The ranking also shows that 91% of Corvinus graduates can find a job within three months.
According to data from the Graduate Career Tracking System, the average salary of students graduating from the Corvinus master’s degree programme in Management and Organisation is gross HUF 628,000 three years after graduation, which is 11% higher than the average salary of graduates from the same programme at other universities in Hungary. In addition, Corvinus students can even increase the value of their degree with a CEMS (The Global Alliance in Management Education) training. CEMS is a two-semester course, including a foreign university semester and an internship, which is only available in Hungary at Corvinus.
Students starting their master’s degree course this year will be able to enter the labour market with an even more valuable diploma. As part of Corvinus’ renewal programme, the master’s degree in Management and Organisation will be launched in September this year in a new format and a new curriculum. Based on feedback from employers, graduates and current students, the University has modernised the curriculum, structure, methodology and key output competences of the programme. The management approach that can be acquired in the renewed Management and Organisation degree programme will now also provide the basis for future middle and senior management positions.
