STUDY ABROAD Program

Corvinus University’s Study Abroad program provides a unique opportunity for students to integrate into an intercultural community of people from all around the world in one of Europe’s most beautiful cities. The university offers a variety of specializations to its approximately 10,000 students in fields such as business administration, economics, finance, and social sciences.

Each year, it hosts thousands of students from more than 80 different countries pursuing their degrees.

Our Study Abroad program has fostered flourishing relationships over the years with more than 15 world-famous partner universities from the USA, Germany, and France.

Corvinus University holds multiple prestigious accreditations, which serve as an assurance of the quality we offer to our students, including AACSB, AMBA and EFMB.

Application

Who can apply?

Our Study Abroad program is available exclusively to  students studying at one of our Study Abroad partner institutions or those applying through one of our providers. For more information, please go to our list of current Study Abroad partners.

How to apply?

For information on the application process, please contact your home university’s Study Abroad office and ask for details on Corvinus University.

What courses do we offer?

The course list and the syllabi for each semester are shared with the partner universities, please inquire from your program coordinator/provider.

What are the deadlines?

  • Application deadline for the Fall semester: May 5
  • Application deadline for the Spring semester: November 5

Please note that after filling in the Application form you must submit it at the Study Abroad office of your home university and not directly to us.

General information

Visa

Please note that it is the obligation of the students to make sure that their stay in Hungary is legal and complies with the Hungarian legal regulations.

Students from EU universities

Students from US universities

Students from US universities must apply for a visa if, based on their citizenship, they are required to have one to enter Hungary.

Holders of passports issued by the countries listed on the link below are granted visa-free travel to Hungary.

* The purpose of the consular letter is to ensure a smooth travel when leaving the US and arriving into the Schengen zone. You must apply for a consular letter via email around 1 month before your departure. Those applying for consular letter must start their residence permit application process in Hungary after their arrival. 

** No need to use EnterHungary until you arrive. More info will be shared at the orientation, we will help you through the process once you are in Budapest.

During the nomination, detailed information on the process is shared with the partners and the students.

Housing

HOUSING TYPES FOR providers:

Study Abroad students visiting via our provider partners will have their accommodation arranged by the agency.

HOUSING TYPES FOR EU partners:

Students from our European partners will be offered a Housing guide and useful tips for finding the best solution for their stay.

HOUSING TYPES FOR the direct US partners:

Our direct US Study Abroad partners’ students will be offered housing for their study period, they can choose between the two accommodations below.
The housing offers are shared with partners during the nomination period.

Health insurance

All students are required to have an insurance during their stay.

US partners:

Students need to arrange their health insurance with their home universities.

Providers:

Students need to arrange their health insurance with their agency.

EU partners:

Students need to arrange health insurance individually.
In case of EU citizens, the EU health insurance card is sufficient, however, since it only covers emergencies, applying for an additional health insurance is recommended.
