Approaches to the history of economic and sociological theory

A joint book launch and workshop was organized by Prof. Tamás Demeter (Department of Political Science) on the 28-29/1/2022. The participants discussed the chapters in Humanity and Nature in Economic Thought (Routledge, 2022, ed. by G. Bíró), and the draft chapters of the forthcoming The Sociological Heritage of the Scottish Enlightenment (Edinburgh University Press, 2023, ed by. T. Demeter and E. Schliesser).

Interview to the Journal of Territorial and Maritime Studies (South Korea)

Dr. Nuno Morgado, Assistant Professor at the Department of Geography, Geoeconomics, and Sustainable Development gave an interview to the Journal of Territorial and Maritime Studies. The main theme of the interview was his paper published in that same journal about the Portuguese geopolitical design today.

12th Annual Financial Market Liquidity Conference

The Department of Finance (chair of the organizing committee: Barbara Mária Dömötör, chair of the scientific committee: Péter Csóka) organized the Annual Financial Market Liquidity Conference for the twelfth time. Distinguished members of academia and professionals were invited to Corvinus or could participate online, for the first time in a hybrid format, 11-12th November 2021. There were 53 speakers in total, more than half of them from abroad.

Helena Naffa awarded the Green Finance Science Grand Award

The Central Bank of Hungary (MNB) presented its Green Finance awards for the year 2021 at the International Green Finance Conference held on 1st December, 2021 at the Planet Budapest Sustainability Expo and World Meeting. Helena Naffa, associate professor at the Department of Finance, was awarded the Green Finance Science Grand Award.

Stream at EURO 2022 Conference

A stream will be organized at EURO 2022 Conference, which will be held in Finland between 3-6 July, 2022.

Special issue in memory of Prof. Gábor Kassay and Prof. Csaba Varga

A special issue will be created in the Hungarian journal entitled “Alkalmazott Matematikai Lapok” in memory of Prof. Gábor Kassay and Prof. Csaba Varga.
