Corvinus’s English-language Business and Management programme has been awarded the prestigious international accreditation for an additional 5 years.

Government representatives of the Visegrad Four countries discussed the national green gas strategies, the ways toward sustainable biomass use and the issue of non-intermittent renewables at Corvinus University on June 20.

The first phase of the Corvinus renewal process has come to an end, and a new era is beginning in the life of the university. Following his appointment, expected to be effective as of 1 August, Rector Bruno van Pottelsberghe will take over the leadership of the university, including the role of President. Anthony Radev, who has served as President for the last five years, will continue as strategic advisor to the Maintainer of the university.

On 24 May, the community of Hungarian faculty developers, which has been operating as a formal network since this year, held its first formal meeting at the Gellért Campus in a ground-breaking non-conference, opening a new era in the education profession. The event also saw the launch of the new working group on faculty development of the Hungarian Rectors' Conference (HRC), whose Vice-President is Kata Dósa, head of the Centre for Educational Quality Enhancement and Methodology.

We are thrilled to share the success of our latest event, where over 40 high school students visited us to experience the unique atmosphere of Corvinus University of Budapest. Throughout the day, they explored our iconic buildings at Fővám Square, including engaging talks by our master lecturer Stanley Ward.

His courage, kindness and scientific achievements knew no bounds – Corvinus organised a memorial conference for the professor who died this year. It was announced that the journal Public Management Review and Corvinus are to establish a Jenei Prize, and Babes-Bolyai University will award a posthumous Excellence Award to Professor Jenei.

One of the biggest community events of the Hungarian startup ecosystem had a stop at the Gellért Campus.

Eszter Czank took over the position of location leader of Infineon Technologies' Budapest office on May 1, after returning from maternity leave, while writing her thesis for the Corvinus Executive MBA (dual degree in partnership with MSM – Maastricht University). Her story shows that a woman leader can do the impossible if she has the confidence and support of her peers. And, not least, she gives it back to her colleagues.
