The very first Budapest Fintech Week is just around the corner! The first Budapest Fintech Week will be held from November 26 to 29, 2024, aiming to showcase the latest advancements in the fintech and banking sectors and discuss cutting-edge innovations.

On May 7th EVK and FAKT collages for advanced studies are organising a charity clothing sale. During the event, in addition to members of student organizations, anyone can bring their clothes that are not needed anymore but are in good condition. Additionally, everyone will have the opportunity to purchase these items.

For presentations, submit full papers by 9 June 2023.

Research talk entitled “The Circulation of Digital Money” by dr. Carolina Mattsson (CENTAI Institute, Turin, Italy).

Sándor Kristály, professor at Babes-Bolyai University and at Óbuda University will visit Corvinus Institute for Advanced Studies (CIAS) at the beginning of September. CIAS organizes a workshop entitled “Optimization on curved spaces” with two speakers, Sándor Kristály and Miklós Pálfia. Sándor Kristály will also hold an introductory mini-course including three presentations in this topic.

Zsolt Darvay, associate professor at Babes-Bolyai University will visit Corvinus Institute for Advanced Studies (CIAS) and hold a workshop and three presentations.

The title of the course is Kernel-based Interior-point Methods for Linear Complementarity Problems and Generalizations.

Csaba Farkas, professor at Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania, will hold a presentation entitled “Compact Sobolev embeddings on non-compact manifolds with applications” at the CCOR Optimization Seminar.
