ScienceDirect (SD) is Elsevier’s full-text multidisciplinary database offering access to studies from the most prestigious scientific journals. SD AI uses a chatbot within this database to assist users in finding relevant content more quickly, accurately, and efficiently. During the trial period, the AI assistant will be accessible by clicking the designated icon in the upper right corner of the ScienceDirect opening page.

The SD database is primarily focused on engineering, the natural sciences, and medicine, but also includes social sciences and other fields. The database contains nearly 2,500 peer-reviewed journals available to university members, who can access them either on campus or remotely via a VPN (Virtual Private Network).

An online demo will also help participants to use the tool effectively, which will be held by an Elsevier expert on 22 October 2025 (Wednesday) at 10:30 a.m. The demo will be conducted using Zoom and can be accessed via this link. The presentation will be recorded and made available to everyone on the Library’s AI landing page.
