Financial Management and Accounting

Doctoral Programme

The programme aims to train researchers who provide scientifically grounded and internationally relevant answers to the most critical questions in modern finance and accounting. We provide a solid theoretical and empirical foundation, enabling our students to model and investigate complex economic phenomena.

Why choose this programme?

  • Advanced Methodology: Students master a sophisticated toolkit for theoretical modelling and empirical research, essential for high-level scientific publications.
  • Practical Relevance: Our research focuses on the management connections and practical applications of financial and accounting issues.
  • Innovative Topics: Alongside classical themes, we support research into sustainability (ESG) issues and the impact of Artificial Intelligence on the finance and accounting sectors.
  • Academic Excellence: The programme specifically prepares students for successful university careers while broadening their research expertise within the global scientific community.

Who are we looking for?

We primarily seek domestic and international applicants who:

  • Possess a strong theoretical background in finance or accounting.
  • Are open to applying empirical approaches and economic reasoning.
  • Are committed to high-quality, independent research work.

Graduates begin their academic careers with internationally competitive research experience or take on leading analyst and expert positions within the financial sector and international consulting firms.
