Double Degree Programmes allow students to complete a training programme offered by a foreign partner institution in parallel with a training programme at their own university, and this way to obtain two degrees at a time. The programme usually takes less time than doing the two programmes separately at the two universities. Depending on the programme, you will spend certain semesters abroad, where you have to complete given subjects. This is a great opportunity to gain international experience and get to know other cultures.
The application period begins in the first half of the fall semester. Registration takes place in NEPTUN by submitting an application, at which time the necessary documents and certificates must be submitted. During the first two weeks of November, a personal interview is arranged with the programme coordinator, who decides whether the applicant is eligible to participate in the double degree programme. Students are notified of the admission decision by mid-November, before the start of the Pannónia Scholarship international mobility application period.
The application must be accompanied by the certificates specified in the application form, which can be modified for a short period of time after the formal evaluation of the application.
For the semesters spent abroad, you can apply for the Pannonia Scholarship to support long-term international mobility. Being accepted into the double degree program does not guarantee that you receive the Pannonia scholarship, so you must still apply for it even if you are accepted.
Information about the Pannonia Scholarship Program can be found here: https://www.uni-corvinus.hu/post/landing-page/nemzetkozi-lehetosegek/?lang=en
Applications for the 2026/2027 academic year are accepted from 15 September to 17 October.
The Double Degree is valuable for two main reasons. First, by the end of the program, you earn two diplomas, potentially within the same timeframe as completing only the Corvinus program. Additionally, companies are eager to hire recent graduates with international experience. This demonstrates that you have a high level of proficiency in a foreign language and are familiar with the economy, society, work environment, and culture of another country.
There are no additional costs for the double degree program. You will keep your active status at Corvinus University during the semesters spent abroad. Scholarship holders do not have to pay for the semesters spent abroad, and students admitted to self-financed programs pay the Hungarian tuition fee, even if tuition fees at Western European universities are higher.
As a student admitted to a double degree program, you can apply for the Pannonia Scholarship to support long-term student mobility, and the amount available is the same as for international mobility.
Participating in a double degree program will not affect your tuition fee. You will continue paying the same amount to Corvinus even when you are spending a semester or two at the partner university. Scholarship-holders will not have to pay tuition at partner university either.
Absolutely, coordinators at the partner university will guide and support you throughout your
studies there.
Yes. You can apply for the Double Degree during both your Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes.
Minimum B2-level complex language exam in English is required for all programs. Applicants to the University of Passau must also have a B2-level complex language exam in German.
Under the Double Degree Programme, you will have to meet the same requirements as the students of the partner institution. You should expect more or less the same workload as you have at the Corvinus.
You can apply for the EBS double degree program in your second academic year, in the third semester.
You can apply for the other programs (KEDGE, Passau, Liège, Porto) in your first academic year, in the first semester.
It depends on the program, which semesters you spend at the partner institution.
Following the completion of the Double Degree Programme, students will get two degrees of identical values, one from the Corvinus and one from the partner institution.
The GPA of minimum 3.0 is required for the application.
Yes. Depending on the agreement with the partner university, you will write your thesis either here, or abroad. The final exam is usually conducted by a joint committee.
The Double Degree training is based on the mutual recognition of the subjects at both universities. Consequently, if you fall into a delay, you cannot get the degree from the other university, either, until you finish both programmes.
If you are unable to continue your studies for any reason in the Double Degree Programme, but you still attend the training at one of the parties, that party will independently determine the amount and the way of payment of the tuition fee related to your training, based on the legal regulations in force in the given party’s jurisdiction, and that party will arrange for the production of the necessary documents.
In each Double Degree Programme, the Corvinus and the partner university will jointly work out an aligned syllabus, in which they will specify the courses to be taken. Credits obtained will be mutually recognised by both universities, and the two degrees will be issued based on that.
Yes, because you are completing them according to the curriculum developed for the double degree program.
The program’s curriculum specifies the number of credits to be completed.
Generally, you are responsible for finding accommodation but the partner university will provide you with options.
This basically depends on the country. Visit this site for more information: https://www.numbeo.com/cost-of-living/
